Hi all!
I can happily say that I have been running problem free since the end of December. Everything has been great, resulting in an amazing multimedia experience for the past 6 months. I also realized today that I have not visited the forum much in the past few months and wanted to drop by and say THANKS!!

Thanks to the developers, moderators and members of this great community!

I promise to not be a stranger and to share what knowledge I have learned with others starting on the journey. Plus, I am moving in a few weeks and the upgraditis bug has caught me! So here's to learning the hard way

I think what happens is most users start - ask questions - get frustrated - figure things out, rinse and repeat. Then after the box is running, they forget the forum is here. So I believe there are more happy users out there than it might seem.

Just nice to hear, someone forgets about technical issues and actually uses the software day to day.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true, a lot of users like to tinker with their setups constantly, such as myself, which is perhaps why they don't always run perfectly, doesn't mean I'm not perfectly happy though!

I've got 3 HTPCs running MediaPortal and probably 95% of the time they run perfectly, the other 5% is the occasional bug, me tinkering with things or the other half doing something wrong.
I'm a software developer myself so I always expect to experience the occasional problem with whatever software I'm using which means for good or bad I tend to gloss over any problems as I just get on with enjoying MediaPortal for what it is, which is great free software!

I have to agree, since RC1 I hae been running MP without any issues. TV/Movies etc all working fine! ANd to think I nearly gave up on pre-RC1 builds.

I second that... my setup is running so well now, that i have nothing to do in my spare time ( nothing to fix ).
