skin version message (1 Viewer)

I am currently running MyFilms V5.2.0.2171 ("deprecated" version downloaded from the google code page) and the latest StreamedMP skin. When I launch the plugin from the GUI, I get the following message:
"Films System Information
Your MyFilms skin should be updated to support all...
Current Version: 'V0.0'
Required Version: 'V1.0' "
Once acknowledged, everything runs fine. I am guessing it's the lack of support for latest features like Coverart Manager, etc.

Is there an xml file that I can edit to "fool" MyFilms into thinking the skin is up-to-date, or is the check done via another method?

Hi bwg, in fact everything WON'T run fine, that is why you are getting the warning It only displays the first time you load My Films after reloading MP.

There are several required skin changes documented on the MF Wiki Skin Changes page and a couple more I need to add.

Sorry we have taken so long to get 6.0 beta ready for release but there are huge changes and hundreds of new features. Normally this would not be such a big issue as most skins would provide updated skin files, or users will post mods they have done. I can tell you that Guzzi has already done compatible skin files for Black Glass and I have for aMPed 3.4 (beta soon to be released) and I think ncoH has Avalon pretty up to date as he is testing MyFilms, But I think you need to give the streamedMP team a bit of time once 6.0 beta is released.

No problem, good things take time
I should have said that everything runs fine for everything I normally use. I copied over the Covers Manager xml file from DefaultWide to StreamedMP so that I can get that functionality. I might give Black Glass another go, used to use it a while ago. Guzzi, are you able to make the MyFilms skin files available for the latest test version of the plugin?

Yes Guzzi worked very hard to ensure you will just get a message if you try to use a feature not supported in your current skin. BUT there are some new buttons and a couple features that are missing and it is VERY difficult to ensure everything will be backwards compatible. So you can blame me, because I 'encouraged' (read 'harassed' ) Guzzi to focus on the new features and getting 6.0 released. Normally we do try to ensure backwards compatibility or at least gracefully handle issues where skins don't support some features, but I was afraid if we tried to do that in every case 6.0 might never get released We plan less new features and more frequent releases in future, so hopefully won't be such a big issue again.

Guzzi, are you able to make the MyFilms skin files available for the latest test version of the plugin?

You find them always in SVN.
(In fact, it is more a "mod" - as it is not using stadard facade definitions - it has full screen thumb display and some other differences to original BG style.)
