I have a couple questions. I'm not completely using the software yet but I downloaded a couple new skins but it doesn't seem to find them. How do I install them so they will be in my available skins.

Also, I was trying to get MP to run faster. I have a 2.5GHZ System with about a Gig of RAM and plenty of space. I went out bought and installed an ATI Radeon 9250 Graphics card the other day and was hoping that it would help with that but it didn't seem to make any difference. I don't know if I'm having issues with the graphics card that came with my cpu still be used for some reason or what. However today I was messing around and suddenly the MCE skin and Metal ones just cook. I have no idea what I did but I wish the other ones did the same. Those two run at over 30fps and all the others are struggling to reach 5. Please help.

Extract them (within there folder) to c:programs/teammediaportal/mediaportal/skins

and they should show up, next time you use settings.

Regarding the speed question, did you uninstall the old video card drivers and make sure the onboard graphics have become disabled in the BIOS, if not disable, and then check in device manager that it does not appear under display adapter, only your new card.

About the speed problem: This may be a driver issue as Paranoid Delusion already said. Make sure the onboard graphics chip is disabled and deinstalled correctly.
The Radeon 9250 isn't a DirectX 9 capable card; for best performance in MediaPortal, you need a DX9-ready card like the Radeon 9550 or GeForce FX 5200 (at minimum).
