Skins...hmmmm (1 Viewer)

Hi..

I have the latest version of MP (not stable release) is this why i can only use the blue2 and (wide) and one more skin for MP?... other skins which i have installed correctly and installed fonts etc seems to stall the app if started in fullscreen mode and nothing at all in windowed... i see nothing in both... very weird... im i missing something to use these nice skins?.... please advise, cheers

Hi,

As you can see in your setup, the other skins are of a older version and do no longer apply on MP 0.2.0.1. The skins no longer work!!

I also have something else which puzzles me. Skins downloaded from the site (the X-mas 2006 for example) are not shown in the MP configuration. I copied the complete X-mas folder in the Skin folder of MP (the exact same place where BlueTwo resides) but the skin won't show up in the config. Is it something I did wrong??

i just tried two blue metal 2... still nothing, they all look like their compatible... just fail everytime... i doubt i'll try another skin again with all the frustration of it... i'll stick to the default

the release version of MediaPortal 0.2.0.0 includes more skins.

because of the ongoing developement (new features added ect.) all skins except Blue2 have been removed from 0.2.1.0 and the svn.
the reason is that the designers who created these skins are no longer maintaining/updateing them.

if you stick with 0.2.0.0 final, then you have quite some skins to choose.

the following 3rd party skins are know to work with current svn of MediaPortal:

• MePo
• Xmas Skin 2006
• Project Mayhem III
