I've searched the forums and followed advice given, but am still unable to get a new skin to work. The three topics I found with advice covered:

installation path:
My path is like this - team mediaportal / mediaportal / skin / Xface

config issues:
I have doubled checked to make sure that "start with basic home screen" is disabled

mp version:
As far as I know I have the most recent version of mp (downloaded directly from the download page)

If it is somehow an issue with my hardware/software info is in my siggy...

What exactly is happening? Do you see the skin listed in configuration and it just isn't working when you select it?

Not sure how or why, but after the gazilllionth reboot it works now...
