Hi folks

I'm new to the portal. I'm using rc2 and in general it seems to work fine. I have two problems however and will detail one here and the other in a separate posting.

I have a MS media centre remote. I was using this with MC until I switched to the portal (good move huh:D).
I find that while watching recorded tv the skip and replay buttons do not skip or replay.

I've had a good fiddle with this but to no avail. Could someone please confirm if this should work ? If it should work perhaps some hints on what could be the problem.

regards
GMAX

Works here with mce remote, normal ehome driver.

Thing to check, MP config (needs to be in expert mode, top right) general\skip steps, has this got any skip steps enabled, thats the only place this is configurable.

Edit the big arrow buttons control skipping in MP, not the pokey little ones that your fingers slip off or cannot find :)

    Hi,

I have the same problem. MCE remote's skip and replay buttons do nothing while playing a recorded TV or watching live TV. The skip steps are enabled in MP Config | General.

What are the BIG Buttons being referred to in this thread?

    Big buttons

    Hi

On the control there are two clusters of buttons. The top one has the Play button, Fast forward, rewind pause etc.
The second has the "OK" button with skip forward and skip backward on each side of it. Use that 2nd set and it works fine.

let me know if you need more help and i'll post a picture for you.

    regards

I would appreciate if you could take the trouble to post a picture. I am just not getting it.

What is the control you are referring to? Is it the MCE remote (physical one)? My MCE remote has the following:

    Record Pause Stop
    << Play >>
    |< >|

    <- Strart Geen Button i(info)

four direction buttons with the OK key in the middle

    Vol + Ch +
    Vol - Mute Ch -

RecordedTV Guide Live TV DVD Menu

    1 2 3
    4 5 6
    7 8 9
    * 0 #
    clear Enter

    Thanks,
    Srikanth
