They certainly do! Thanks DJBlu! :D

@ Developers: Please, please please include this mod at some point!

    Do LCN = Sky channel numbers e.g. 101 = BBC 1 etc.?

Sky don't send LCN data. Its sent in the BAT with Bouquet ID's and Region ID's.

    IE

Bouquet ID 4099. e.g Wales BBC / Wales ITV

ITV Wales becomes 103 because the region is set to 40.

I know where this information is but you need to set your region ID and there is no way to implement it in TSWriter yet.

I take it there is a similar system with Freesat? i.e. you set your region then it lists the channels accordingly.

In theory, correct me if I'm wrong, with that data from sky could you not just scan that for the changes to LCNs/Channels etc and not have to do a complete channel scan?

I can get the entire Sky Channel Lineup within 8 seconds. However, and this is a big however. There are no PMT pids. Which is what (at the moment) Media Portal needs to tune the channels. DMAN is looking into a tuning method if there is no PMT pid the TS Writer looks it up in the PAT then updates the database.

I don't know how far he has got with this but I know he is a busy gut so we'll have to wait and see.

    Hi DJBlu

I hope you can help me....
I decided to update my MP 1.0 to the latest SVN for the quicker channel changing, I installed SVN 21864 OK and checked everything worked ok, which it did, then stopped TVService and installed your TSWriter for this SVN, restarted TVService and when I checked all was ok MyTV in MP just locks MP up:mad: to get out of it I have to do a ctrl+shift+del and stop MP, a quick look at my logs says that the tvservice cannot make contact with the TVDatabase, but this worked all ok when tested on install.

    I hope you can help.

    Regards Pete

    Login failed for user 'sa'.

You are going to need to delete the database and rescan then.

There is a problem with the old TSWriter that puts incorrect data in the database and the TSWriter written by me fixes it.

It sounds to me like you are using an old database. Have you tried removing it and starting fresh?

I thought that it could be something with the database, where is it located under XP, I will delete it and try again.

You will need to download MS SQL Management Studio.

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E3D-94B8-5A0F62BF7796&displaylang=en#filelist

43 meg I think. Then you will be able to browse your MSSQL Server

    Stop your TV Service.

Run the Management Studio and connect.

In the Object browser navigate to databases.

Look for MpTvDb or something that looks like that.

press the delete key. A page will pop up. Ensure Close connections is ticked. Then click ok.

Now you can start the TV Service and it will re-write the database.

Hi DJBlu, I hope you can release a patch for latest SVN 22029. I think it could solve a lot of problems I have with current one.

Thanks for your great work again!
