Had a weird problem the other day.
MP had been working happily, then one day it did not record, wouldn't start up (went straight back into standby) and missed recordings.
Rebooted but still sulking.
The issue was SKY.
My Sky is via a Hauppauge S-Video connection and IRSS. (Did have it via FireDTV before the white card update bebacle.)
Overnight the Digibox must have received and update or something. Trying to view a Sky channel gave the 'No video/audio detected' message.
Pulling the Digibox power and then restarting it and it MP is back to being happy.
Go figure.....
