I have never managed to get rid of this error message in the errorlog:

2007-03-16 23:29:19.968750 [ERROR][6]: CaptureCard B2C2 MPEG-2 Source NOT supported, no definitions found

This creates some issues, in particular the inability to record TV using SS2 after PC wake up from Powerscheduler.
Also TVEngine V3 does not work properly on the SS2 channels (image frozen)
I have tried the BDA drivers. No error message anymore, but no disecq either. Half of my channels become inoperative.

Can someone help me out with this ?

when you are using WDM drivers, than this "error" in the log does NOT cause any harm.
This line only means that there are no BDA driver definitions in capturecarddefinitions.xml, the wdm drivers of the Skystar2 are NATIVELY supported.

Attach (NOT copy/paste) all logs after this not able to record issue happened.


btw. i am using the TV-Server with Skystar2 + BETA BDA drivers everyday. no issues at all.

Thanks for your offer to help. Good to know that BDA drivers with disecq work on your system.
Here is what I did to get the log files:
1/ Open MP
2/ Schedule a recording on a SS2 channel
3/ Leave MP to go sleep using Powerscheduler
4/ MP wakes up
5/ MP records for about 6 mins
6/ MP goes back to sleep again
7/ I manually wake it up
8/ Exit MP and use the Testtool to obtain log files.

The 6/7 mins recording is very typical. This is the time that MP records SS2 channels when it wakes up from Powerscheduler. I do not have issues recording SS2 channels when MP is launched by clicking on its icon.

So the PC goes to sleep with the recording STILL IN PROGRESS.
is that correct?

If so, then the powerscheduler seems not to noticed that the PC is recording.
could you tell me values you set in the powerschedulerplugin please?

Values are
Time before recording: 1min
Idle Time before going to sleep: 3 min
Sleep mode: Hibernate
All other options desactivated.

Note: Powerscheduler works perfectly in combination with my Hauppauge card.

Hi Joce,

unfortunately I cannot help you with your problem, but I can confirm that starting from 0.2.1.0 (included) I have had problems with the SS2 (diseq, recording, etc.).
With the previous releases everything was fine (I was using the WDM drivers 4.3).
I have also tried to update to 4.4 and 4.4.1 beta, but without success.
I am a bit frustrated, because I didn't had any issue before.
I can always go back to 0.2.0.0, but I will loose all the nice new features!
