I run MP 1.2.0 in dual display (extended mode) set to open on TV screen #1 secondary. GUI is accelerated (smooth menu movements) as long as I don't steal focus from MP. As soon as anything is started on display #2 set as primary (monitor) or even mouse is clicked on its desktop GUI loses smoothnes and video is stuttering in playback. Do any of you running MP in dual display eperience the same. I want to be able to run MP with acceleration even if something is beeing done on the other display. I have NVidia GTX 260 with 8.17.12.6658 driver.

TIA

Once I check "always on top" than there is no slowdown. but MP steals focus (all keyboard input is directed to MP) and nothing useful can be done on the other display. Guees it's kind of difficult to use one machine to watch movies on TV while something else is beeing done on the monitor. No CPU bottleneck, but loss of GPU accelaration for an application that is defocused. Can this be overcome?

Actually I do not know any team member who even has a 2 display setup.

MP is mainly targeted to dedicated HTPC installations. I will see if I can find anyone whith a 2 display setup to test.

I think someone comitted a patch for 1.2.0 Beta, that would allow MP to run without focus without enabling the throttle-down mechanism...which is what you need.
