Slow TV streaming in 1.0.1 (2 Viewers)

I upgraded to 1.0.1 yesterday and while everything seems great i did notice that when changing channels in MyTV the picture becomes very slow for a few seconds, then plays at normal speed.

Anyone else noticed this? im assuming its something to do with the new Gabest video decoder?

Funny, I was just about to post a new thread about this. Just goes to show you're never alone with your problems! I am also experiencing the same thing, channel changing is a lot faster but when I go to a new channel the first few seconds are shown sort of in slow motion.

exactly as you say, channel changing is definately quicker, but the video is in slo-mo for a few seconds when changing. have you tried a different decoder such as ffdshow? havent had time myself to have a proper play around.

would someone mind raising this issue with bugtracker as i wont be able to upload my MP log files in the next few days, so they wont be able to look at the problem.

I think this is working as expected, due to the channel-changing improvements, this "feature" has been introduced.
I my case the slowmo is lasting only 1 second or so....

I also have this "issue"!
The slowmo is very short when i switch to a SD Channel but when I switch to a HD Channel it's quiet longer.

I'm using PDVD Codec for SD and HD and AC3Filter for sound.

Not exactly the same thing you guys are talking about, but certainly fits within the subject heading. Since doing a fresh install of 1.0.1 on both my server and client, streaming TV to the client (over wifi) has a lot more judders and pauses/break-ups than it used to with 1.0.0.

that's exactly what I experience, I thought though this might me related to my wifi, but it happens since 1.01!

are you saying that the slomo issue is a tradeoff for having faster channel changing?
