I just tried to install 1.1.4.4 on MP 1.2.3 and had a dependency error as well

1.1.4.4 is only compatible with 1.3.0a, for 1.2.3 please use 1.1.4.3 version

It depends on having itself installed, (it depends on smartplaylist.dll)- that's the problem.
It wont install on 1.3.0a from a clean install...

Hi all,
i did a fresh install of MP 1.3.0 and generate again source (same version 1.1.4.4). Now it seems to work. Tell me if not.

If the .dll already exists the install works - not if from an install without SmartPlaylists.dll there.
I think it's the installer that's broken - it seems to need the .dll already there to work.

You mean that the error occurs during installation of plugin (SmartPlaylists.mpe1)? And does MP work when manually put the dll file?
Strange, i can exe the installer with or without dll already installed and it works well
