Special thanks to mPod for the last couple of weeks. While I've become a minor contributor to MP, and I wish the project all the best (and really hope I'll be back in the future) - I've just rebuilt my HTPC on XP with Nero Home as it will:
1) demux and play the audio from MPEG/DTS files (ripped from Music DVD with DTS soundtracks)
2) consistant I'F for the playing of Video Files (like with the Music section)
3) no config, no additional filters / codec etc - it just works out of the box
The reasons that I want to move to MP from Nero Home if points 1 & 2 in the above worked is:
1) MP has a much better IF
2) MP has a richer environment / extendable
3) Support for MP is terrific (another plug for mPod)
4) Nero has an AC3 Audio Prob on HD TV Channels (at least in Oz)
