Most of the movies I want to play in MediaPortal are AVI files. I can play them with Windows Media Center, Miro, Vuze and VLC without any problem whatsoever, but MediaPortal doesn't play them. Instead it says Video Codex = XVID and Audio Codec = MPEG Audio. Ihave spent the entire weekend trying to change the options and looking through pages of out-of-date solutions that don't seem to share any kind of consistency with each other. Is it really this hard or am I just missing something? I am running Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) on a Dell Studio XPS-16.
