[solved] No DVD Sound. (1 Viewer)

I having a problem with dvd playback using MP 1.2.3.0. I cannot get any sound. I can get sound on live tv & audio cd's & the MP volume is not muted. This applies on both Win 7 & 8. I have had a play with the audio renderer & codec settings to no avail (even by using the same settings as tv which works ok).
Playing dvd's using other media players (ie VLC) seem to work ok.

Hi Brendon,

I would suggest to install the latest LAV Filters. You can find them here:
http://files.1f0.de/lavf/LAVFilters-0.52.exe

Then set up those codecs in the DVD section of MediaPortal config:



If you still can't get any sound, please post your logs (see my signature on how to collect those).

I have tried your suggestion & I am happy to say that I have now audio on DVD playback.
