I always make a point of answering my own questions if I find a solution so here it is... Deleting C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\VideoDatabaseV5.db3 solved the problem. It must have got corrupted because MP wouldn't even let me reset it in the Video Database options.
