Hi everyone,

I've been gradually ripping my DVD collection and storing the files on my hard drive. Normally when I look at the movie details in Moving Pictures it shows some details about the movie file under the description of the film, e.g. "HD720P", "DTS5.1", "Subtitles", etc. similar to the attached picture. However after ripping a few DVD's today I noticed that this information is missing, and the area of the screen which would normally contain these details is empty.
Any ideas why the info may be missing and what I can do to get it back?
Thanks

This info is obtained via MediaInfo. This is a 3rd party product that is constantly updated as well to keep up with new formats/codecs/etc. It could be that you simply have to update the 32-bit MediaInfo.DLL in the MediaPortal root folder, or that there is something wrong with your rips. Try the MediaInfo GUI application and see if you can get 'info' from your files first otherwise.

For existing movies, you can mass-refresh the mediainfo via the MovPic config screen "Movie Manager" tab (or F9 inside GUI for single movie updates)

    Thanks for your reply.

I installed MediaInfo and can get "info" from my files (both VOB and AVI). so updated the dll file but this made no difference. I manually (F9) updated a couple of movies in MovPic and this worked and I now have all the info again for these movies.
Is there anyway I can get MovPic to automatically provide this information again like it used to?

It should do this auto by default, unless you disabled it.

Check the setting under MovPic config -> "About" tab -> "Advanced Settings" button -> "Matching and Importing" section -> "Automatically Aquire MediaInfo Details From Movies" -> make sure it is set to "True"

For some reason this option was disabled. I've enabled it now and it's all working again.

    Thanks for your help (y)
