sorry if I ask something that has been already answered.
Till now I created my TVguide using WebEPG-conf.exe, mapping there all my channels to some webs that were supposed to provide the tv programs. Yesterday, since I was experiencing some problems with MP RC3 and EPG grabbing, I created a new guide but mapping only a couple of channels, just to see if I could find the cause of the problem.
To my surprise, when I watched later My TV in Media Portal, I realized that almost all my channels (ten or eleven of them) were showing information about the programs.
So, my questions are:
Don't you need to create a TVguide and is it may be enough to check this option in the cards "Allow this card to be used for EPG grabbing"?
How is it possible that some channels find the program information without the web mapping?
Which is the best way to get the programs, through the information that the cards may get directly from the channel or from a web?
I would appreciate very much if someone could give me an explanation or point me a link. Thank you in advance

but I see lot's of people talking about doing weird and complex stuff to get TV Guides. I scanned for chanels for my TV Cards, then a few minutes later, the complete TV Guide appeared (presumably contained in the free-to-air signal sent by the stations). Works for me. Not sure why everyone seems to do complex stuff to get TV guides, but I'm sure there must be a good reason
