Ability to set the default "sort by" in My Recorded TV. I want to always view them via TV channel. The ability for the cursor to memorise its last location when browsing and deleting recording

Hi all,
I have two suggestions regarding the way Recorded TV are viewed:
1. I want to always sort my Recorded TV show via TV channel. However, I can't find a way to make this stick as they always revert back to the default sort view.
Is there anyway that we can put an option in the configuration to remember the last "sort by" settings
2. When going through a list of recorded tv, say I delete a recording in the middle, the cursor will then go back to the top of the recording, is there a way to keep it at the same spot?
Thanks for all the effort that has been put in to MP to make it the BEST HTPC software (Media Center) out there
