I had live TV playing with sound via the HDMI cable. I pressed a button on the remote which I didn't realise was configured to start the Compro TV software. The whole thing froze up. I had to press reset on the computer. Now the live TV works, but I have no sound. I'm only new to HTPC's and to Vista as well.
