This is probaly one of the wildest ideas here, but anyway.

It just came to my mind, that what if TeamMediaportal Is worlds First And only MediaCenter that can use (MS SAPI SDK) speech syntesis to speak out dvb, or any other subtitles.
In Finland some Tv companies allready do that(Yle, MTV3). Just watching House and Audio channel is marked as Ducth, but it is speech syntesis speaking subtitles. It is targeted for those who cant see too well.
I dunno if it is hard to implement, but I think natural place would be where we send subtitle line to EVR for displaying. Instead we send that subtitle line to speech synthesis.
