This is not an MP issue, but just plain Windows XP. When I first start the htpc, I can enter standby (S3 or S4, no problem). However, after resuming it fails to do it again. It doesn't even shutdown anymore. How can this happen and how can I debug this problem? The standby tool didn't do the trick..

    Hi,
There should be something in Event log which should tell why it can't, could be anything from USB devices to drivers.

Great idea! I forgot that MS did have some notion of logging errors :)
When restarting, it showed an error that something was writing the registry while it was shutting down, together with the tip that 'it is probably a user service'. Since the only services were MySQL and TVE3, I figured the problem was caused by TVE3. I switched to TVE2 again and disabled TVE3. Now everything works fine again. Thanks for the tip!

NB: This problem occurred with TVE3 rev. 16615.

    Hi,
Install latest TVE3 & check if it's better, if not then add all logs. Hibernate/Suspend & TVE3, MP with TVPlugin works fine here...

Apart from slightly faster channel switching, I don't think TVE3 is much of an improvement for me, since I only use single seat. I'll stick with TVE2 for now.
