I recently installed mediaportal (2 days ago). One of the reasons was that I bought a D-link 320RD, which is suppoused to be able to stream media over a lan. Allthough the D-link worked quite well I stumbled on some issues (couldn´t include the subtitles etc). This got me fed up with all iin one appliances (owned a Kiss DP500 before that). So when I got my hands on a 2nd hand comp. with a non working PSU, I thought this was my chance on a real MCE. The comp is a P4 2gHz, 512ram, a GeForce 4MX440 etc. After replacing PSU and installing and patching up XP i sunk my teeth in the Mediaportal installation process. I must congratulate ou guys on your documentation. Everything is working like a charm. The only thing I did different was choosing another codec pack that included VobSub. Other then that this was a walk in the park to install. The interface is easy to navigate and im looking forward to tweaking it. Yesterday I wen´t to base 2 in my MCE-project and bought a HTPC-silverstone LC17 (just the case) and a MCE-remote. It took me all night swaping all the HW from the ol Packard Bell to the Silverstone case. Sadly the PSU-cables are a bit to short so it´s a visit to the seller getting this fixed. Other then that its working. I havent installed the remote yet (todays project), but I have a little Q about it (couldn´t find any post). Is it possible to put the entire computer in to StandBy with the remote? Is this supported in MP? I wonder this because off course I want a way to turn my MP-mce on and off with the remote. Maybe this is answered in the manual some where but I havent found it yet. Thanx for a so far gr8 product! rgds / Richard
