Might I ask your settings that allowed this to work? My user is always logged in, so that shouldn't be a problem. The user has admin rights on Vista 32bit current updates. The reason I ask is I do a lot of tasks via task scheduler and sync toy. Here is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish Default starting point. Mediaportal user logged in (admin) Mediaportal active with focus 1. Via task scheduler /taskkill mediaportal.exe @ 0400 local this happens on 5 MediaPortal computers at the same time. (WORKS) 2. Task scheduler sync all database folders to main media server. and vice-versa. (All clients are now synched) @ 0405 (WORKS) 3. Main server performs antivirus scans and updates to all clients. 0430 (WORKS) 4. Server pushes windows updates to all client computers 0500 when finished all computers reboot. (WORKS) 5. Client #1 performs an incremental backup and pushes it to the server. 0600 (WORKS) 6. Mediaportal is started on all clients via task scheduler. 0700 (DOES NOT WORK) 7. Bedroom TV turns on will MediaPortal automatically on the correct channel. 0730 (The morning News) (Alarm clock) (WORKS) The last step is getting MediaPortal to start on command. Once I get it figured out I will post a how to detailing how everything is accomplished.
