I have my htpc setup so MP starts up on windows start up and into full screen.
However, i'm trying to get MP to act more like my TV when i switch it on. By that i mean if i was watching the news channel and switched off my TV when i turn it back on it remembers and opens back on the news channel.

With media portal on start-up i am always returned to the TV Guide screen not the TV channel. In the configuration options i have enabled the Show last active module when starting/resuming from standby. But no sure if that is what it is meant to do. In any case it didn't work.

Is it possible to open in the same channel on restart and if so what am i doing wrong?

Were you in the TV guide when you last shut down?
