Still TV picture (1 Viewer)

I have just installed MP. When I get to the "My TV" page, I can only get a still picture of the TV and no sound. The same happens when I am in TV-Server configuration/TV Channels and push "preview" ...I get a still picture of the channel and no sound. Does anyone know how toi fix this?

Also when at the "My TV" page a get "data not available". Does anyone know how toi fix this?

for the sound problem, try installing haali splitter, maybe u are getting more than one language in a channel and therefore mp does not know which one to play.

as for the picture, have u installed all mediaportal requirements?

about the "no data available" try tunning to that channel, ull have to wait till tvserver grabs the epg info. maybe try to reduce the standby time for epg grabbing.

Hi,

I’m experiencing the same problem. 90 procent of my tv channels work fine but some, like discovery science, E entertainment and discovery world show a still image and no sound. When I zap to another channel all goes back to normal. When I zap back to e.g. discovery science a new still image of that channel is displayed on the screen again with no audio.

I’m using a FireDTV set in the Netherlands (Ziggo/@home)

Well I have still not been able to fix my problem. I'm using a ASUS WDM TV Tuner.

Your not the only one.. I have a Azureware 2033 DVB-C card and can´t get sound on certain channels, viasat history etc, the fun part is that i get sound on Viasat Nature but not on Viasat Crime.
There both on the same channel but switch in between at 7pm....
I usually don´t watch does channel but it´s still annoying...

hi all

First, make sure when testing use default direct sound is selected as audio renderer, then maybe try ffdshow as audio codec.

See if any improvement.

I also had this problem until I changed audio-decoder to PowerDVD.. apparently MPA and ffdshow has got some issues with certain audiostreams.. The channels I had problems with were 3 discovery channels (travel and living, and two more) and a couple of other chans aswell.. After the audiodecoder change, these channels were working again!

For me, what fixed it was changing from libmad to mp3lib in ffdshow
