stilll cannot get X10 remote working (1 Viewer)

I was hoping RC2 would have a fix for this, but alas no luck. My problem is that I can't get my X10 remote working with MP. The receiver (MR26A) is hooked up and I know it's working at least in some ways because when I open a terminal window to COM1 I get characters every time I press a key on the remote. However, when i select "X10" and "other" in the remote configuration and click on "start learning" absolutely nothing happens. No matter what key I press, nothing is learned

I use the ATi RWII which is x10-based... it works. I'm still learning my way around MP so the fact that some buttons aren't intuitively where I'd think they should be is something I need to learn, or understand where MP keeps those settings.. or perhaps the RW-plugin I downloaded from the MP site.

I'm responsible for writing that section of the code, and nothing has changed there for several months as its feature complete for most x10 remotes. If you could click the extended logging option, and then please post your logs I'll take a look.

I've the same X10 "Mp3 remote" (UR51A) with MR26A receiver. Initially, it's not work with MP. I'm new to MP and thought it's something wrong with my configuration. However, I don't know if it's the root of the problem, but after I install BOOM 2000 from X10...viola it's work. I don't know because BOOM 2000 had installed the MR26A driver or something, but now I can use my X10 remote with selecting "X10" and "other" in the remote configuration. Actually, I don't need to setup or learn anything...it works most of the remote PC key on X10. I afraid to uninstall BOOM 2000 so I still keep it in my window, but not running it. I would say MP is rock. I setup my PC to as dual screen...one for my PC usage and other as TV for MP. Everyone can now watch movies (with X10 remote control) while I'm working on PC at the same time. Haven't try MP2 but hope it's better. Good Luck.
