Is it possible to block animated avatars in the threads?
It is massively distracting, especially when posts start getting quoted and you get multiple images dancing all over the place.
I have dyslexia and it's really hard to read sometimes!

in this case it's better to block any animated gif by your browser

    Firefox:
    go to about:config
    set image.animation_mode to none

    Opera:
    press F12
    unselect Enable GIF animation

    Internet Explorer:
go to Internet Options < Advanced < Multimedia
unselect Play animations in web pages

    Extension for chrome

Thanks 1 avatar was doing my head in, still inclined to ask the guy to remove it as just too distracting for this forum.

Have now asked the person if he would not mind changing it.

    He very kindly changed it.

Suggest anyone else finding a very intrusive animation contact me or a super-moderator, and yes if it does really seem annoying, we will ask the person to change it.

Little bits moving are fine, so its good for me :) - its just if they get too busy it really makes things hard to read :)
