This has been an issue as long as I can remember. I use the MCE remote.
While viewing MyTV (note I use an ATSC card), I can pause TV, but the stop button does not work. I cannot actually stop the TV playback until I Esc from Full Screen, to the MyTV preview screen and then Esc again to the Main menu (My TV will still be playing in the little box on the bottom left). From here, the "Stop" button works.

I have isolated the portion of the MP log where I have gone through this process and Highlighted and commented portins I think are relevant.

OK, was informed this is not a bug, it is intended behavior.

Seems to me that one should be able to stop MyTV playback in the MyTV preview screen. From a useability standpoint, to me, the approriate behavior should be :

    1. User A is watching TV. User A's Wife want's to listen to Music.
    2. User A Escapes out of Fullscreen TV to the MyTV Preview Screen
    3. User A stops TV Playback.
    4. User A Escapes to main menu, selects My Music and plays some Ted Nugent.

As it stands now, a user must do the following:

    1. User A is watching TV. User A's Wife want's to listen to Music.
    2. User A Escapes out of Fullscreen TV to the MyTV Preview Screen
    3. User A Escapes again to Main menu
    4. User A Stops MyTV playback
    5. User A Enters My Music and plays some Ted Nugent.

Does this seem logical to anyone else? Are there other mitigating factors of TV playback that should preclude the adopting of my first (simplified) scenario?

I realize this is relatively minor and nitpicky, and this issue doesn't really bother me. It just seems more intuitive that a user should be able to stop MyTV playabck from the MyTV preview screen.

    This I can do today:
    1. User A is watching Fullscreen TV. User A's Wife (don't know who this is) want's to listen to Music.
    2. User A Hits the big green button on remote (MP home)
    3. User A Goes to MyMusic, select a song & Plays it.

    Regards
    Roy
