Strange DTS problems (1 Viewer)

When testing my htpc system with the TV and Receiver, I came across some strange DTS problems.

Some mkv movies with DTS have a strange stuttering sound, while other files with, apparantly the same DTS don't have it and have normal sound. When looking at the audio properties of both good and bad files, they are a match.

Both of them show:
DTS 48000Hz 6ch [Audio]

So, I can't find any difference between them. Why is the sound playback good or bad then? Is it decoded badly? I think I have all settings correct, especially as some DTS files are fine....

Any help is appreciated.

BTW...Sound is going through the optical output of my Gigabyte GA-MA78 mobo to the receiver.

Do you only get the problem inside MediaPortal or do you get the same problem using something like Media Player Classic?

Yes, I have just tested and have the same problem in MPC-HC.

This is solved! Somewhere in the stand alone filter thread I found a comment about using AC3filter in case of DTS sound. I installed it and now all DTS sound is fine!
