I have a HTPC with Windows XP and MediaPortal. Currently use the Microsoft MCE remote, but it is already quite old. I bought HP as remote from this link
HP D4000 Media Center universal remote control MCE WIN7 - eBay (item 130427748817 end time Dec-01-10 22:58:27 PST)
However, this remote not to go to work. I have the original Microsoft MCE receiver, but the remote will not work. I can not find good documentation. Somewhere it says that you should work somewhere that does not .. If anyone has information about the remote, I would be grateful. I tried it on Windows 7, but also did not work. Which receiver to buy for that remote? Is the problem in the operating system? I tried XP and Windows 7. Otherwise, the remote does not work either in XP, Windows 7, nor in MediaPortal. I see that Vista is mentioned in the specs, but I did not try. I do not believe that only works on vista?
