I have some issues with setting up my remote for MP. I will try to explain and hopefully some1 can help out.

I have a Coolermaster case which comes with an Imon VFD and remote. I can get this remote to work fine with MP through a mediaportal.imo setting file. So, there is no problem, i hear you say.....well there is, as I don't like the feel of the remote. I know, it's picky, but I don't like it.

So I also bought an MCE remote, which comes with IR receiver that goes into USB. In MP this remote appears to be working fine, besides the fact that it does everything twice! My figuring is that the USB receiver that comes with the remote executes one command, but the IMON IR receiver in the case also does! Not sure, but I think that is what's happening. If I cover the Imon VFD with my hand, all commands execute only once. But, obviously
I don't want to cover the display all the time...

In the IMon software, there is a possibility to set it to IMON Pad (the imon remote) and MCE remote. This way i could leave out the IR receiver that comes with the MCE remote. When I set IMON to MCE remote, the Imon receiver is working great inside Vista mediacenter, but not all commands work in MP. For instance Pause, or stop is not working.

So my actual question is, how can i setup my system to properly use an MCE remote in MP by either:
  1. The IR receiver in the case
  2. The IR receiver that comes with the remote

Without the software executing all commands twice. I did put MP config on MCE remote, in case you wondered ;)

Thanks Simone (I think :D)

Can you elaborate some more about it? What I need and how to setup?

    1. Sorry I'm short in time (away from home for work). Forum "search" is your friend ;)

    2. Just use msconfig and untick iMON -> reboot. This way it won't start naymore and you will avoid double clicks...
