    Hello there,

I have a clean system- and MP-Installation. I scanned my Music-Library and played some mp3s with MP. I noticed, that each MP3 that has no cover gets a cover from a file that has a cover. Sounds strange, but each mp3 - in my case - has a cover from "Britney Spears". Even the background (I think this is called "backdrops") from plugins like "Last.FM" are filled with the Britney Spears Cover.

How can I prevent this behaviour and get only displayed the covers that the special mp3 does have? And if the mp3 doesn't have a cover then no one should be displayed...

    Thanks in advance!

    AW: Strange MP3-File Cover behaviour

    you've got a misplaced folder.jpg
Enable hidden files in folder options if you don't find it.

    Hey!

Thanks for your answer. But what do you my exactly by "misplaced"? Suppose, that the misplaced cover.jpg is located in "X:\Music\Alben\Gruppe - Titel\cover.jpg", why should ALL other mp3s around my whole network this THIS cover.jpg in the specified path? Is this a bug?

Can I also use the MP-cover-Creation function without creating cover.jpg files?

Thanks for you help! I'll search the file now...

    Hi,

    I solved my problem!

    1. delete all files in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Music\Albums
    2. MP Configuration -> music -> music database -> "update database from selected shares"
