Stream Client Window (2 Viewers)

I want to have TV-functionality on my laptop but i dont want to stick a tv-card in it. I want to install a tv-server and a client on my laptop, which I actually use for work. The technical specification will be ok but I have another question: Can i let mediaportal run in a windows window (like any other sortware) und work beside in other applications? Every examle I have been finding, I saw mediaportal only as a dedicated devise for medias and in full screen.

You can use MediaPortal in windowed mode but it doesn't work very good imo which is why I wrote a lightweight windows program: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...0-3-watch-tv-your-desktop-2010-01-30-a-76570/
