Can mediaportal do the following:
- Stream live TV over Internet, in the same way as webguide4 does?
- Can I use Linux and/or mac clients to view or operate the server and its content using firefox as webbrowser?
What I am looking for is a home solution:
- I want to setup a big server, this server contains a lot of HD space and is connected to the Internet, this server also contains dual analog TV cards for cable viewing and radio FM, I want to extend it with a DVD-S card with cam for satellite and card sharing (such as a dreambox does).
Al this media I want to access from everywhere!
So I which to access it within my home/lan with the best possible quality , but I also want to watch it outside my home (work/office/vacation etc), of course the quality is less then in home!
The main thing is that I want to view it using Linux as client (at work we only use linux or mac) and easy access such as an webinterface, Webguide4 does this fine (and it works with Firefox in combination with vlc).
So can mediaportal do this or am I still stuck with vista MCE?
