Hey,

First up, this program rocks, I like the ability to be able to watch tv on other pcs in the household!

Anyways I was just wondering if there were any plans (or if it exists) to allow the server to host video etc and have that automagically available for the clients (rather than the current setup where all the video stuff has to be setup client side).

This seems to me to be a logical step for the program, are there any plans to do this?

Cheers!

I guess this will be a natural progression. All databases being SQL based.
Maybe even storing things like tumbs in the DB.

In the mean time this trick works well for me: :)

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...t14727.html?t=14727&highlight=MediaPortalDirs

copy MediaPortalDirs.xml (from mediaportal root folder) to ..\MyDocuments\Team MediaPortal\

Then edit this new file and change the database path so all machines point to the same version (via a share) on the main server. You can also share thumbs and other folders in this way. This one in MyDocs file will override the one in MP root folder so even when you update MP these paths & files will remain (assuming db structure doesn't change) (rtv told me about this)
