After reviewing the MP2 info, it seems MP2 will be a much "cleaner" program!
Shame however that the Fiddling will probably start all over again with MP2, as all the plugins I'm getting used to right now will probably not be supported...
Thats correct, MP2's plugin system is totally different from MP1.
But our developers keep telling me that it is much easier to create more powerfull plugins for MP2 in less time.
Still, there is much work to do before we can release a new version of MP2.
I'm planning to contribute and develop some stuff (thinking home automation) in the future, when I have the time.
Sometimes, throwing everything around and beginning anew, is needed to keep structure.
Other projects I have worked on are in need of a "total rewrite" (osCommerce is one of them, for example. Complex installations tend to become a complete mess)
In short: Change can be a really good thing.
