Struggling trying to set up remote with IRSS (1 Viewer)

OK Everyone, I really seem to be struggling with the remote piece. I think I have finally gotten most everything worked out, and the WAF is pretty high except one area - the remote. I have a Harmony 880, and I have it set up for MCE. My case is an antec fusion case, that has imon on it. I didn't install the iMedian Media Manager. I set the iMon up as an MCE remote, then under remote in MP Config set that up as MCE. The only buttons that seem to work are the arrow buttons. Nothing else.

I then stumbled across the IRSS, and read a few posts and it looks like all I needed to do was download, install the plugin, choose MCE and configure it, then go back into MP Configuraiton and uncheck the MCE remote from the remote section, and it should work.

Well, I did all that, but the arrow pad is still the only thing that works. No play, no stop, nothing.

So, am I missing some steps? I really want to get this working, b/c the wife wants to be able to watch some of the rips while I am at work, but doesn't want to break out the wireless keyboard to do it.

I did see some older posts about imon and using quite a number of steps to set up. Is this the route I have to go, and I can't use the MCE options?

I thought the imon hardware could not receive MCE IR signals, it can only emulate an MCE remote.
