Hi,
I've got the following setup. A main PC (QUAD Core with 4 gigs and vista x64 on it) with a shared partition and a laptop with mediaportal on it connected to my tv. They are both connected to a D-Link Router via wired ethernet. On my laptop I added that shared partition as a network drive. And I entered that drive in mediaportal as a source for movies. So far so good, I can access the drive in mediaportal and start playing files of it (mostly avi files). The problem is that during playback the movies sometimes starts to stutter altough at that time I am not doing anything else on the network. So normally all the bandwith is available for streaming the video. Anybody know a solution for this problem? Could it be because of the difference in OS. On my desktop I am using vista, on my laptop XP? What can I do about it? The same problem occurs when I try playing the files outside of mediaportal using WMP.
Thanks!
