Just thought i'd share something that had me going for a week before finding out what was causing it.
The problem i had was that every media playback stutterd in some way, even simple mp3 playback.
Fine tuning the codec usage, and extensive testing got me no result.
Right before i decided to reinstall vista, i realized that i still had a memory stick stuck in the rear USB used for Readyboost.... You guessed, it removing the stick and thus disabling readyboost solved all my problems!
So something that is supposed to speed things up, caused me more time. So no more readyboostfor my Mediacenters!
Hope this helps some!
p.s. Vista MCE did not have problems when using Readyboost.
