SubCentral 1.2.1 for MediaPortal 1.6 (1 Viewer)

When I try to install SubCentral 1.2.1 on a fresh MediaPortal 1.6 installation I get a consistency check error from the installer. It says that the MP Skin engine has an unsupported version number.

Should 1.2.1 work with MP 1.6? What can I do to solve the problem?

Why do you try to install 1.2.1 on MP 1.6?
There's a newer version for 1.4 and above. See here

I just used the info on (https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/movies-videos/subcentral ) but it seems to be outdated then.
