Description
I use MP full screen on a second 1280x1024 monitor but when I switch to an HD channel, the subtitles sometimes behave as if it's a 1920x1080 screen - i.e. they disappear off the sides of the screen like so:
In other words, the video scales down to fit the resolution but the subtitles do not.
This usually only occurs when the subtitles are on one side or the other - underneath the person speaking - but it sometimes happens when they should be in the middle.
The same seems to happen when watching HD in a window and it also happens when playing back such a recording.
The problem occurs using either MPC-HC or DirectVobSub and using different codecs.
Notes: my main screen is 1920x1080 so maybe that's confusing MP, also the off-to-the-side subtitles work fine when watching SD programmes.
Steps to Reproduce:
1920x1080 video viewed on a 1280x1024 monitor with subtitles on and when the broadcaster uses non-centred subtitles. Here is a video demonstrating the problem (85MB):
