Subtitles? (2 Viewers)

Hi there. Could somebody please tell me how I can add subtitles to my .avi movies? I have installed subcentral but only appear to be able to have subs for the whole film as opposed to just when the audio is in a foreign language. I was watching hereafter last night and about a quarter of the film is in french. At present I am only able to watch the film without subs (not ideal as I can't speak french very well) or have subs for the entire film (probably even more frustrating). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AW: Subtitles?

Hi. There are two ways to use/show subs.
1. The subs are included in your video-files
2. In the same folder exsits idx/sub ore srt files (they contain the subtitles) with same name as your videos
When you have video and subs and you want to combine them, use mkverge (MKVToolnix). The result is an mkv file. This is the easiest way I know.
