Just a suggestion for changing the way media is displayed. Not sure if the same code in MP handles all of the displays for different types of media (e.g Music , video etc).
Not really sure this is a skin issue or not. Anyway here goes.
In My Music for example, there is a powerful means of controlling how music files are displayed so that different songs can be navigated to and played etc.
One of the functions is to filter (say artist) names by first letter so that the screen displays a list marked with letters of the alphabet. So there are 26 catagories.
The first issue is that this view only works in list view. Any other view just shows a folder icon with no letter on it. This prevents using small or large icon display which would obviously be an easier way of displaying the alphabetic catagories all on one screen. So is there a way of having the letter be imposed over the folder icon in the icon view modes? This might be easy to code.
The second issue is that 26 categories is still a lot of catagories. If the list could be modified so that (say) 3 letters per list item would be displayed then this would allow the list to be shortened so that the first item would contain ABC the second DEF etc.
This would require a new parameter in the config app for number of catagories per list item etc so that the existing 26 catagories would still be possible.
Might be worth thinking about for later revs.

I remove that part on every install (mp config->music->views). I just use sms style search and page up/down (channel) buttons to navigatie through my entire artist list. I find that having it all there makes it easier to use and don't have to jump screens/listcontrols to often.
