It would be nice if the music system could translate music genres "on the fly," so the music file itself does not need to be changed.
I'm imagining a right-click on a genre in the genre view giving the choice to change it to something else for display purposes, but leave the original intact so it can be reverted easily. You would also want to be able to remove a previous change.
I use MusicBrainz to add "correct" genres to music, and I speak English, so I don't really know if this is a problem for non-English speakers. Maybe MusicBrainz supports other languages.
But, even for English speakers, it would be nice to be able to display a genre as some other genre. You could, for example, combine some of the various "rock" genres into one or a few. Tagging software could be used, of course, but the change is more or less permanent and can't easily be reverted in case you make a mistake.
