Synopsis::

hi,i am having trouble getting a picture using the svhs connection on my tv tuner using media portal. Have used the fusion program and it works fine but when i try use the media portal program i get no signal.
I have normal tv reception using standard aerial cable but wish to connect my australian austar digital box via svhs.
Also i have been experiencing some problems with signal loss using the standard aerial, can work fine for a while then just come up with a no signal message. I change the channel, then flick back and its good again.
Anyone else using the dvico cards i'm interested in which video codec you use as there is multiple choices, and i'm still trying to find the best one.

    No good answers on either of those at the moment sorry.

    The no signal message is a known bug that the devs have been working on for a while. It affects people to different degrees. Sounds like you have it in a smaller way than some, at least...

    For the SVHS inpu, this has been discussed many times in the past and is due to MP not supporting software based cards, which the AV input is on the DVico.

    Search for dvico and software and support and you should find it. The good news is that you can help get it supported by supplying some information...

    I've got the same problem with my HDTV Wonder card. Is this a software input on this card as well? If so, it seems like I shouldn't be using it. I'd rather have a more hardware based system. Anyways, if so, could you point me in the right direction on what is needed to help you support this input?
