Hi.

I have a Compro E900F TV card. I haven't been able to find too much specifically about this card. I have learned that it also has a 7164 processor, which I'm assuming is the same as the Hauppauge HVR2200 / HVR2250.

In reading up about those other cards, I learned about adding the SVHS/VHS channels in order to add AV support. I'm just a little puzzled by the number of entries this produces.

It produces CVBS#1, 2 & 3, VHS#1, 2 & 3 and RGB#1, 2 & 3 on each of the two tuners. That's a total of 18 entries.

I understand why everything is duplicated for the second tuner, but I'm wondering why there are three entries for each. This is the first software I've used this card with, so I'm not sure if the entries are a product of the card or Mediaportal.

I'd appreciate it if someone was able to shed some light on the subject. I'd really like to understand what's actually happening.

I have the same TV card and it seems to me MP is not able to get signal from either analog input (Composite, S-Video or Component). I'v got permanent error when I try to perform a preview for any added channels (CVBS/S-Video/RGB) in TV Server Configuration: "Preview failed: NoSignalDetected". Could someone from development team tell whether MP supports analog inputs throught WDM driver of 7164 BDA chip?

The tv.log contains the following lines:

    Hi,

I've been looking at the Compro E900F as my DTV2000H comes up with No signal found now. Thankfully the Compro 300 is still tuning correctly.
    Can you tell me if:
    1) You managed to get the analogue to work (not that I've ever used the analogue on the WinFast)
    2) Does the hardware encoding help?
    3) How fast are the DTV channel changes within MP?
    4) Have you experienced any stuttering / frame dropouts?

    Cheers

WeeGraeme when you add the SVHS/VHS go to the tv chanels and one by one preview the channels that where added and delete the ones that don't work, hopefully one of them does work.
I have a compro 750 I think it is and have had nothing but trouble from it, never have gotten the svid to work on it, and had nothing but trouble with the DVB-T side of it and have sworn never to get another compro.
for s-vid I bought a Leadtek LT-PVR2000 (IJK Online Store IT / Computers) which has Hardware MPEG-II Encoder and is only about $30 and MP finds and uses it with out any troubles at all (I actually have 2 of these, one in each of my MP machines) and can recommend one for s-vid capture especially at the price.

I have the E900F and am using it with a STB for sat via analogue input but could not get component to work. Have sat pay plus DVB-T and analogue free to air all working fine otherwise. I haven't tried since the update to 1.0.2.0 as 1.0.1 just hosed my otherwise ok 1.0.0 setup when I last tried to configure the component input - but composite has always worked fine from this card - but only on one of the two analogue tuners.

Just as an update to this I was able to get the component input on the E900 going under 1.0.2 for the STB by only having this input on the appropriate analogue tuner - ie no composite input channels or standard analogue channels being mapped as well.
