my lcd tv has an optical output wich delivers dd 5.1 when i use the integrated dvb-t tuner, but all other output (also via hdmi-input) will be stereo-only... thats officially stated by samsung... =(

actually when i set up my htpc to send dd 5.1 via hdmi my tv isnt able downsample the signal... therefore i have to switch both in mp: the sound renderer and the codec (set to stereo downsampling)... =(

i just wanted to ask if there is some developing in mp in that direction... (sets of various codec/renderer setting with easy switching).
