    Hi all,

first of all I would like to find out, if someone else experienced the same:
    1) with Mysql setup Channel list (EPG) on remote clients is relatively slow compared to MSSQL
    2) navigating through recordings on remote clients (not matter if Gigabit Net, or Wlan) is REALLY slow, like 5 -10sec to get any infomation, compared to MSSQL
Is there a setting that I missed in Mysql?

For the above mentioned points I would like to switch back to MSSQL,
I already installed/configured the Server, and copied my old database dirs.
I also changed the entry in gentle.config
Everything works, except that I cannot uninstall Mysql (because of the dependency to Tvserver) and "bind" the MsSql as dependency to the TVService.

has somene got a hint how to do that?

    cheers + thx

AW: Switching DB (MySql->MSSql) after install

    ok,
I fixed the change of DB systems myself.

    this is what I did:

-I uninstalled the TVServer with the minimal options (leaving DB and config etc.)
    - uninstalled Mysql
-I reinstalled TV Server and TV Plugin, and configured MSSQL as DB server

everything is working, and considerably fast, compared to Mysql...

    cheers
