    Hi,

switching to MyVideos takes about three minutes (the first time, thereafter it´s fast), which is way too long. I have about 300 movies on a NAS, and the more movie files there are, the longer it takes.
All movies are looked up (imdb/ofdb) and are displayed as symbols. Oh, and "folder view".

I guess MP does some kind of scan the first time MyVideos are opened.

Is there any way of speeding it up ?

if you have 300 movies in one root directory, please set your explorer to preview and open that share.

Disable the "watched" indicator and see if that helps a little

maybe creating a structure (subfolders) for this movies would be wise too.
300 movies in one folder sounds realy messy ;)

    infintyloop :
I thought about that, too. Actually, it isn´t that messy. The movies are properly named and sorted. And I have an alphbetical overview, where it is real fast to find a movie (at least, when they´re displayed ;-) ). Atm , with Symbols, there are 17 pages, which I find quite comforting.
And : This is just one folder. I have others on my network with more movies in it (not that much), so I usually switch to db view, to get all my movies....
